ABOUT

Nursing research throughout the last forty years has taken on different focuses – from concept identification and relationships among concepts, to the design of conceptual frameworks, middle range and grand theory by nursing theorists of the 70's and 80’s to the focus of evidence-based nursing practice implementation of today. Along the way, we have become more ‘interdisciplinary’ in our efforts, and have made progress as a unique and science-based health profession.

Each nurse at whatever level educationally, age, or experience can be involved in the experience of nursing research - what is required is an attitude for continuous learning and an interest to grow professionally no matter what setting you work in.

The aim of Nursing Research Matters is to offer helpful information for the working nurse regarding the discovery, communication and innovation ideas that can result from a focus of nursing research - all leading to evidence-based best practices that can be incorporated for successful healthcare transformation and change.

Thank you for your interest and welcome!
